Here are ways to contact Kaos while we are in remote areas with satellite communication coverage only.
There are two systems that we have on board and working at all times. You can use either.

Please note that satellite is expensive and slow. Expect that it may take up to 10 minutes for messages to reach us, and even longer for us to respond. Messages also need to be as short as possible, and not contain pictures.
Garmin inReach
You can send a message to me via the following process:
- Navigate to https://share.garmin.com/SteveMitchell
- In the left hand navigation bar, click on Message.
- Provide your mobile number/email address and type your message.
- The system will try to contact our device and send the message
Iridium
You can send a short email to 881652444669@msg.iridium.com
You can also text 881652444669 but keep in mind this is an international number and you may be charged for texts depending on your cell phone plan.
Please do not include your signature, lots of graphics or pictures, etc.
We can also make and receive phone calls on our normal phones through this system, but only in emergencies. Send us a text or email first if you need to have a voice conversation so we can setup our end.
